Haydon Bridge Development Trust

Haydon Bridge Development Trust
The Haydon Hundred is promoted by the Haydon Bridge Development Trust and is run entirely by volunteers. All proceeds go to supporting The Village Trust and the Community Library. The Development Trust was set up in November 2008 to take forward the implementation of the Haydon Parish Plan. The Development Trust was registered as a company limited by guarantee in April 2009, and is registered with the Charity Commission as a Charity. Projects undertaken by the Development Trust to date include:

 - Establishing The Bridge as a volunteer-run community facility offering library services, a Tourist Information Point and Internet Café for local residents and visitors.
 - Promoting the parish through a website www.haydon-bridge.co.uk and a leaflet listing local attractions and facilities.
 - Producing a series of walking and cycling leaflets linking with Hadrian’s Wall and other attractions nearby.
 - The Martin Heritage Project, which ran through 2011-12 to coincide with major exhibitions of the work of this Haydon Bridge-born artist
